Hi. I’m Kyle Ferguson. I have been a yoga and movement professional since 2011, during which time I have taught thousands of hours of classes, private lessons, teacher trainings, and educational clinics. My book, Beyond Hot Yoga, was published in 2021 by North Atlantic Books. My approach is practical, engaging, and creative. I am a tinkerer and an explorer, and I remain fascinated by the power and potential of the human body.
I started yoga in earnest in 2010, when I took my first Bikram Yoga class. That practice created my passion for yoga and movement, but it also showed me that many yoga techniques can teach maladaptive movement patterns. Bikram Yoga’s emphasis on extreme ranges of motion, along with its focus on excessive repetition of one set of poses, made me hypermobile and began wearing down my body and causing repetitive injuries.
In time, I came to develop my own approach to the Bikram method, which led to the creation of a style I call “Foundations of Repatterning.” This style became the central practice of my movement community, Second Circle, which thrives to this day.
My mission now is to teach students of all levels healthy movement patterns that awaken their true potential.
